I was reading some of your writings and this one spoke to me the most.

Yes, there is this mindset about taking the beaten path that is prevalent in Singapore.
This issue is something I think about a lot, and it’s not so easy to dissect on a comment page. To me, there are larger macro views that contribute to this. Cultural issues, education issues, political issues, all contribute to this tendency to be risk averse.
