Some people are afraid or it. Some people are fascinated by it – artificial intelligence. Should we be afraid or worried? I think it depends. Go watch the video I embedded at the bottom of this post. Does it seem like it’s promoting prostitution? Well, the YouTube algorithm seems to think so. And in case you haven’t noticed, I have been neglecting my followers on Dewdrop Notes and spending a lot of my time trying to figure out how to make it on YouTube. It’s something I wish I don’t have to do. The sad fact is, people are not reading my blog anymore. From hundreds of visitors a day, I’m lucky to get a dozen visitors a day on this blog nowadays. To stay relevant, I have to make some changes and initial success on YouTube goaded me to focus on a different platform. But I found myself totally at the mercy of artificial intelligence – yep, it’s the YouTube algorithm and on YouTube itself, there are numerous videos teaching you how to “game the system” or so to speak.

Well, it doesn’t matter what the experts say. experience tells me that YouTube algorithms are totally unfathomable. I became more and more prolific. I was even beginning to enjoy the process even though I wish I could still maintain a sizable audience here without having to resort to “performing” YouTube. Then, I got hit by the algorithm. Football is a safe topic. Visibility is good. Talking about a smoking mural and allusion to sex workers are not. Visibility is dropped to a miserable low when you touch on any topic that merely alludes to these sensitive keywords. Does the algorithm seem like a moronic moralist? Artificial intelligence or natural stupidity?

Please watch the video, like, share and subscribe so that folks like me are not unfairly penalised by the stupid system. Thanks.
