Narcissism Attracts Narcissism.
I seldom patronise hawkers, but I never make the mistake of thinking that I’m partly responsible for hawkers going bust. But women like Melissa Faith Yeo seems to think that she can somehow affect the TFR of the human race and she can’t bring herself to the level of all the “subpar” men. Imagine a man saying that of women. I was quite taken aback when I saw the Facebook post below. It’s an audacious statement and I had no idea who Melissa Faith Yeo was.
I did a little research and got some interesting results. She was a local TV actress turned real estate agent. In 2019, she made the news after swearing at a police officer (even though she acted as one in a TV series). She also gave the same treatment to SMRT staff. She was fined for that.
Then she created a stir on social media in 2022, ranting about a toxic ex-boyfriend she broke up with in 2011. She said that the breakup was unnecessarily public and that actor ex-bf needed the clout and the sympathy votes after being nominated for the Star Awards. It was obvious to fans that she was referring to actor Andie Chen who had been happily married for years after they broke up. She accused him of making himself look like the victim when talking about their breakup and said that the whole industry was against her because she’s easy to villainize and slut-shame because she blogged about her boob job etc etc. Andie Chen’s wife Kate Pang warned her not to defame her husband or face a lawsuit.
Huh? Yao mo gao chor ah? She has over 4k followers on Facebook and almost 10k followers on Instagram. If that’s hate, then I don’t mind having a little of that hate myself. Not long after her breakup with Andie Chen, Melissa Faith Yeo also exposed Eden Ang as a predator in the entertainment industry. She said that he sent her rude messages asking for some kind of intimate one-to-one time.
She included screenshot excerpts (from 2013) where Ang allegedly messaged her late to ask her to go over to his place. When she declined, she said his responses included calling her derogatory terms, calling her “turnoff,” then using pet names like “sweetie” or “baby,” and trying to “teach him some manners.”
She posted hearsay information from another woman, involving Eden Ang in New York City. The woman claimed that they met for a discussion on the entertainment industry. He had allegedly put his hand up her skirt after using the bathroom. Eden’s personal assistant Lilith and former gymnast Nicolette Lim also came up with various screenshots showing Eden Ang making disrespectful remarks. No criminal case was brought against Eden Ang, but he seemed a spoilt child showing signs of narcissism. After being exposed, Eden Ang vanished from the limelight.
And when I saw Melissa Faith Yeo’s Facebook post above, I can’t help being reminded that narcissism attracts narcissism.
