David Neo, Idiotic Remarks And PLP “Logic”
Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth David Neo said on 19 November 2025, he should have been more respectful after he called Hong Kong football fans and players “idiots”. Given his military background, I thought he might have used another inappropriate world like “enemy”. Anyway, the insulting remark escaped his unguarded mouth as he congratulated the Singapore national football team in a locker room at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium following the Lions’ historic win in the Asian Cup qualifiers 18 November 2025. The Lions made national sporting history after beating Hong Kong 2-1 to secure their spot in the 2027 tournament in Saudi Arabia.
We have the usual keyboard warriors baying for blood. Some called him the next Chan Chun Sing. Some even called for his resignation. That’s a bit too much, right? David Neo shouldn’t have been elected in the first place.
See? The sun rose but David Neo didn’t wake up. I thought no one would be foolish enough to defend him. Interestingly, undercover PLP “James Low” (whatever his real name is) was at it again, smugly declaring how untouchable David Neo is and how powerless the plebeians who don’t like him are.
Personally, I don’t know whether David Neo will still win the next GE. There is plenty of time and opportunities for David Neo to make a fool of himself before he needs to go around canvassing for votes, but the question here is whether it matters at all. James Low (the name he’s hiding behind) insists that it doesn’t matter as long as he wins. Maybe he will. Maybe there’s nothing we can do to stop it. We all draw our lines very differently, but there is a huge difference between acquiescence and acceptance. Among us, there are still people (proudly and happily in the minority) who have principles and conscience. Those who don’t are quite likely sell their daughters or even their mothers if it’s legal to do so. Doesn’t really matter if they win/gain, right?
Then, I shared a video of a Vietnamese woman who had migrated to the US to escape communism. Mumdani’s victory sent ripples throughout the Vietnamese and PRC communities. It is like a sick joke to them. You can check out Lily Tang Williams. These folks have actions which are consistent with their beliefs unlike many wealthy PRCs have also hypocritically espoused China Number One, America World Enemy but then go on to park their money with the “enemy”.
James Low (whatever his real name which he obviously lacks the courage to use) tried to pull a fast one, suggesting that people who “prosper” under the PAP are hypocrites when they criticise the PAP. Are you thinking of what I’m thinking? Yao mo gao chor ah? The government is not our lord. Neither is it their responsibility to feed us. They provide the environment and we prosper because of our own efforts. We criticise the government when opportunities are diminishing. Like many PLPs, James Low (whatever his real name which he obviously lacks the courage to use) has confused one’s national identity with the PAP government and tries to label people who have anything against the government as unpatriotic or even hypocrites when they have succeeded without pandering to the elite. Convenient but absolutely ludicrous. Our well-qualified opposition politicians who have the courage to challenge the government are not naive but true heroes of Singapore. People who mock them should have the shame and decency to exclude themselves from whatever benefits the opposition have brought us. They may not be able to form the government, but they can put the PAP at risk of losing another GRC. Where do you think the idea of CDC vouchers come from? Folks who mock them and still enjoy the benefits are hypocrites. Folks who cheer for the opposition and vote for the PAP are hypocrites. People who criticise the government for policy missteps and fiascos like SimplyGo, NRIC leak and still do well on their own are NOT hypocrites. James Low had them all mixed up.
Finally, James Low (whatever his real name which he obviously lacks the courage to use) tried very hard to salvage his lame attempt to paint the objectors as hypocrites.
I like James Low ( whatever his real name which he obviously lacks the courage to use) he provides me with a lot of material to blog about.
